Cosport fiasco continues

How can one company get it so wrong?  I didn’t think the Cosport Fiasco could continue in too many more ways, but apparently it can!

For those poor people who they couldn’t deliver too, today was the first day that people could go to their ‘will call’ pick up centre and it looks like they’ve completely underestimated how many people would turn up on the first day and don’t have the tickets to hand.  People are reporting (already) having to queue for ages to get into the centre, and even when inside the tickets are ‘upstairs’ and they need to wait for them.  Some people are still waiting in the ‘holding’ area a couple of hours later – ridiculous!  Hope this isn’t the same with Sportsworld pickup on Wednesday…

In addition, I’ve had an email today asking me to confirm that my ticket order was received – isn’t that what the FedEx tracking was for???  I guess it could also be because they don’t know whether they’ve sent the right tickets given the (non existent) checks they seem to be applying to orders…

I’m still a bit nervous about having got sponsor tickets from them too, event though they shouldn’t have sold those. I’ve checked on Twitter  (via @pearcesport whos a very useful source of info – follow him!) and apparently although Locog are aware, consumers who have bought in good faith will not be affected and the tickets are still valid.  I should hope so too at £150+handling+exchange rate a ticket!!!

Cosport – a company that I will definitely not be dealing with again if I can help it and who I hope are investigated fully by the IOC.  Poor poor organisation and customer service!

Must step away from the ticketing sites…

… and hand over my Visa cards so that I stop buying tickets to the Olympics!  This morning Sportsworld released some new tickets which included Velodrome ones and as that was what I most wanted that I hadn’t got thats what I went for!  Very expensive (especially including the handling fee of £40 PER TICKET) as they are Category AA but hoping that means a good view and its for CT004 which means we will see the final of the Womens Team Pursuit which I believe TeamGB have a very good chance of medalling in!

Very very happy to have got the tickets, but must stop buying anymore!!

p.s. Does anyone want to come to the Canoe Slalom with me??  Seems none of my friends and family do…

Eventeam tickets have arrived!

In order to get the tickets I wanted for London 2012, I used the fact that as part of the EU I could buy tickets from other EU country official sellers.  I wasn’t alone in this, as their websites crashed etc under the load just like the official GB one did as soon as any sales were announced!

Two of the EU sites allowed you to pay for delivery via courier (still not sure why this wasn’t an option with Sportsworld!) and yesterday I stayed in to receive my tickets from Eventeam the French official seller which were sent via UPS so now I have some Badminton tickets – very excited!  I already have some more badminton tickets for the same day and I’m going with two different extended family members – should be fun!!  The only issue with them is that they came with a letter all in French so now I just have to find someone who can translate it for me!

One month to go until LONDON 2012!!

Can you tell that I’m excited?  *wide grin*  TeamGB is slowly taking shape (although the selections for Taekwando and Fencing among others are controversial and under challenge), and its cool to see how excited all the athletes from all disciplines are at being selected and then receiving their kit.

As far as ‘my’ kit goes, I’ve got my TeamGB and ParalympicsGB supporters scarves and TeamGB football shirt and caps plus a large flag (though its still within the rules) so I’m getting sorted.  I still need to decide on a camera and rucksack I’m going to take though, and I’m not impressed with only being able to take in 100ml of liquid but I guess thats the airport-style security we’re going to have to live with.

Roll on 27th July, and i for one CAN’T WAIT!!

50 days to go!

Today marks 50 days to go, which is virtually no time at all but still seems to me like AGES.  I bet it doesn’t for the Olympic committee or the athletes though!

A few more of my tickets arrived yesterday, which then prompted me to go and buy some more (I know, I know, I really shouldn’t buy anymore) – but I do have a good reason.  I originally got tickets to the Womens Football Gold Medal match (woo hoo!) through the ballot, but they are Category C tickets.  As they are still available, I’ve now bought some Category A tickets so hopefully we’ll have a much better view!  Does mean that I have some additional tickets to pass on to someone – anyone interested (at face value only of course, I’m NOT a tout).

Talking of views, I’ve had a look around and I can’t yet find a seating plan for the Olympic stadium (or other venues).  Am I being blind, or are they not available yet?  Given that the tickets are being sent out and they have seat numbers on them it would be nice to see where they are in the venue.  I guess it could be because the final seating configurations are still being worked out, but come on people we need information! 😉
